This book is all about Australian frogs. Not all of them are included, but enough to give you an idea of the huge variety of frogs we have. You’ll also get to meet some of their tadpoles.

‘Meet the Frogs’ introduces you to the different types of frogs living in Australia. ‘About Our Frogs’ and ‘Calling All Females’ tells you about their physical features and behaviour. ‘From Egg to Frog’, ‘The World of Tadpoles’ and ‘Who Needs a Tadpole?’ are all about the early development of frogs.

Starting with ‘Southern Treasures’, each following double-page spread shows a different type of habitat and the frogs that live there. The map on the next page shows the habitats covered in the book. Each coloured box matches the habitat listed beside it in the contents list. You can then find the habitat on the map. Note that habitats across Australia mostly merge into each other, so each habitat can still be quite varied.
