Author Submissions
All submissions must be in writing. New Holland Publishers will
consider proposals for non-fiction books aimed at a general trade market. We do not
publish poetry or academic books.
We require all submissions to be typed, double-spaced, on A4 paper. Please avoid elaborate
binding and staples, and ensure that all pages are numbered. If sending an electronic
version of your manuscript via email or disk - please set
the manuscript and all requirements out in a word document only.
Please ensure that you retain a copy of your manuscript,
and do not send original illustrations.
Please include a one-page synopsis of your work,
a contents page, one or two sample chapters, sample illustrations
and a brief biography stating previous (if any) publications.
If you wish your manuscript returned, please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
In most cases, you should hear from us in four to six weeks.
New Holland Publishers has no restrictions with concepts and ideas.
