Author Submissions

All submissions must be in writing. New Holland Publishers will consider proposals for non-fiction books aimed at a general trade market. We do not publish poetry or academic books.

We require all submissions to be typed, double-spaced, on A4 paper. Avoid elaborate binding and staples, and ensure that all pages are numbered. If sending an electronic version of your manuscript via email or disk - please set the manuscript and all requirements out in a word document only.

Please ensure that you retain a copy of your manuscript, and do not send original illustrations as submissions will not be returned.

Please include a one-page synopsis of your work, a contents page, the first three chapters, sample illustrations and a brief biography stating previous (if any) publications.
If your submission has been shortlisted for consideration you will normally hear from us within six to eight weeks.

New Holland Publishers has no restrictions with concepts and ideas.
